Visiting the Region

Visiting Frankland River’s wine growers is an enjoyable day of discovery and a wonderful place to relax and unwind overnight or longer if time permits.

As a year-round destination, marvel at the spectacular abundance of wildflowers during spring and take advantage of local wine attractions. In winter, there is just no better place to snuggle up to a warm fire with a glass of local red wine.

Amongst the vineyards, the region is home to the largest single planting of olive trees in the State and it is becoming increasingly recognised for its high quality oil.
Natural attractions near Frankland River for the whole family include Lake Porrarecup & Lake Nunijup and which are popular for swimming and skiing.

The Frankland Heritage Trail gives visitors plenty to see and an insight into the area’s history. Sites of interest include the Old Post Office, the local horse watering trough, one of WA’s first race courses, Kenny’s Tank and Yeriminup Reserve. A walk along the Frankland River looking for the rare and unique wildflowers is an enjoyable way to enjoy the spring days.
